To Self-Soothe or Not to Self-Soothe that is the Question

To Self-Soothe or Not to Self-Soothe that is the Question I have had. My wife is against it. I have talked to other parents (I won't name names) but they say it is ok. They say that it will increase the baby's rigor and independence. My wife doesn't like it when the baby cries so we do all sorts of things to calm her down. 

My thinking is that babies gonna cry. That's the thing. Most of the time they cry because they are hungry, uncomfortable, need a diaper change, lonely, scared or hungry, need a diaper change or tired. Of course we should try to remedy all those things and try to figure it out but sometimes there is just no reason. Sometimes Babies just gonna cry. 

Baby don't hate me.
